LGBT Groups to join in Erie, PA
If you are a member of the LGBTQIA+ Community or an ally in Erie, PA - you may consider being a part of one of these groups! These groups are not associated directly with the LGBT Funds of The Erie Community Foundation but are additional resources to deliver our mission of making Erie a more inclusive place for all.
Greater Erie Alliance: “The Greater Erie Alliance for Equality, Inc. (GEAE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the region’s LGBT community and its straight allies through educational programs, social events, and opportunities for service, which are designed to strengthen our voice and improve the quality of life in northwestern Pennsylvania.”
Northwestern Pennsylvania Pride Alliance: “NW PA Pride Alliance, Inc works to improve visibility of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersexed and Ally/Asexual (LGBTQIA) community. We also facilitate communication and collaboration between groups and individuals within the region's LGBTQIA community and the greater region's community, while respecting individual and group identity.”
Erie Gay News: “Erie Gay News is published once monthly in print and as needed on the web (typically articles are added most days of the week) as a source of news, events, information, support, and affirmation for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people (GLBT's), their friends, families and supportive allies in the greater Erie, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas.”
LBT Women of Erie: “LBT Women of Erie is a social and support group for lesbian, bisexual and transgender women. Our group has been together in this present form since 2008.”
Trans Family of NWPA: “The mission of TransFamily of NWPA is to support the transgender community of northwest Pennsylvania, as well as those who are questioning, their loved ones, family members, and allies. We will work towards a greater understanding of people who are transgender through advocacy, education, and community engagement.”
